Cisco CEO John Chambers spoke candidly on Closing Bell with Maria Bartiromo Wednesday about reforming our international tax system and its economic and job boosting abilities.
“The tax system is broken, we’ve got to reform that. But if I were trying to stimulate the economy quickly, this would be the easiest lever to pull. And it would generate revenues for the government to apply to other capabilities as well [...]
“We’re a proud American company. A majority of our acquisitions and head count are here in America, that’s different than most large high tech companies. We’d like to keep it that way but the tax policies make it very difficult.”
